It is rare, because I'm an idget, for me to LOVE every song on lets say, any particular album. BUT and a big one, I cannot say the same for this album. Run Kiddies as fast as you can to your local music dealer or music store and nab this one! I swear I put it in the car, the computer and just hit play and not once, and I've been listening to this thing for days, have I wanted to hit (forward) Each and every song is SOOOOO good.
I swear, it's true.
And the way they put the song list, the order of it, makes it perfect because you don't get too melancholy before they pick you up and your feet are tapping and the head is nodding. So Love, love, love this entire album. Granted I love some songs more than others (the melancholy ones because I'm a writer and I like to be depressed to write, isn't that the only way it works?) But the others just lift me up, make me smile just glad to be alive to hear them.
Not to mention I think Gary Lightbody (is that not the coolest name? I think he would make a fantastic character for a book with that name) Looks a lot like Neil Gaiman. What do you guys think? Do you think he looks like Neil Gaiman?
Vote on it and let me know!
Cheers,

Now I cannot find anything. *sigh*
Well, let's see I lost my keys the day before Thanksgiving and they haven't turned up yet.
I lost my earrings that I dearly love (cannot find them anywhere either)
and my one good black shoe. Yep I did check outside to see if the two knotheads had taken off with my shoe, but no black shoes in the great outdoors. Not that I wouldn't put it past them mind you.
Let's see, I did clean my study. I was hoping to find my car keys but that didn't happen. I'm beginning to think that being absentminded is a writerly thing. We forget all sorts of things, especially bills which we never remember to pay until we are threatened that things are going to quite working. Like the water, or your cell phone or God Forbid the ELECTRICITY. (Almost happened to me recently)Saved in the nick of time. It's horrible really because it's not like I don't have the money. I do. I just forget to pay the bill or forget to put a stamp on it and walk it to the mailbox. How many times have I walked around with bills to be mailed for weeks. I need a book keeper which is funny because I do books for a living and I have no problem at work, it's the home thing that gets me. Maybe that is why I forget at home, I'm rebelling. That is definately a possibility.
Anyway I can now see my floors. Hey, there is brown carpet in here? Well, it's either brown because it is brown or it's brown because it's dirty. I'm not sure which at this point but I think it was brown when I bought the house.
I wouldn't exactly say I went through anything (the stacks of paper and books everywhere) but I did stack it neatly in boxes, on the floor, at the perimeter of the room. So it looks neater when in reality I'm a very good pack rat.
Now I'll never be able to find anything...LOL

It is with such a sad heart that I write this. I just got the news as I arrived back home today. A very young friend passed this past Saturday. My heart can barely even acknowledge it. Such a beautiful smile, bright and shining blue eyes, and a simple sweetness that she tried so hard to hide...
My heart weeps for you.
Rest easy, Courtney

Currently listening to: The Rasmus, No Fear-Destination Darkness
On the Shuffle: Anna Nalick, Muse, Lincoln Park, H.I.M., Within Temptation
Mood: Happy (running away--yeah me)
Well we had another espisode of "When Ants attack" this morning. I go through this every year, but really, they could give me a year off for good behavior. Would that be too much to freaking ask?
Getting all packed up to go up to the mountains for scrap booking & shopping marathon! Woo whoooooo...I'm excited. But wanted to wave bye for the weekend to all my buddies out there. I'm going out in search of New Moon this morning before we leave. *sigh* I hate when I get like this, and I probably shouldn't read it at all considering what I am writing but I cannot help myself.
Anyway, I hope everybody has a great weekend. If you need me I'll be the one out by the hot tub with a wood chuck cider...tee hee hee!!!
Leaving you with a picture of one of my favorite bands who are going to be making an appearance in TWAB...
Love, love, love The Rasmus.

I very rarely give my opinion on a book. Ask friends of mine, it's true. But this book, wow, this book was everything it promised to be and more. If you haven't read the book I will try not to give away any spoilers, but I might while not intending to do so, please consider yourself warned.
I think one of the things I liked most about this book is that she kept upping the tension. One catastrophic event after another and the danger was real. Very real. And I loved the fact that Edward was what he was, a predator, a monster, something any human 'should' be afraid of. He was true to his own character, but he did grow in this book and for the most part tried to master himself.
Bella, on the other hand, I can so relate to. The clutzy teenager. How many of us went through that, are still going through it. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person I know of who can fall down by simply standing. (Don't ask, it's embarassing especially at my age)
While the first three chapters are a bit slower than the rest of the book, Ms. Meyers is slowly reeling you in, dropping hints at things we don't really know about and that I hope she will explore in other novels.
Both of the main characters are very complex, and this is what I call a character story not a journey story. But one very well done.
You would be remiss in not picking this up and reading it. Then when you are done there go to her website and read the first chapter from Edward's point of view. Cool stuff!
You can find her website at www.stephaniemeyer.com
Loved, loved, loved this book. Everything a great love story should be and I look foward to reading her newest work New Moon.

My current favorite is from the song I'm listening to: Wreck of the Day by Anna Nalick
Driving away from the wreck of the day
And it's finally quiet in my head
Driving alone, finally on my way home to the comfort of my bed
Pretty much how I feel...
I just went and read this and it's horrible. I'm laughing but it's not really funny. I can see the headline now. Butler injures partner in striptease. Sorry Hillary if you by some freak of nature read this, but it struck my funny bone, and I spewed my tea. Only this could happen to Gerry.
In other news I hope everyone goes out to vote. It's what they call a Blue Moon vote here in North Carolina but I'll be hitting the polls just the same. I've been doing my homework and there are several seats on the school board up for grabs. (heh...I'm going to do my own damage control)
I'm working hard on my story. Not much time to blog. I'll be awol from Thursday on as I'm heading up to the mountains for a woman only retreat. That means no men, no children, only crazy adult females that don't really have much sense. I suppose I may end up sleeping on an air mattress or the couch but I need a break. We are going to be in Blowing Rock at the big cabin. A beautiful place. I've made oatmeal raisin cookies, and a batch of snickerdoodles. I'm also making a mega pot of spagetti right now and freezing it so we don't starve. I'm going to take my lone bottle of locally fermented red wine from North Carolina and a bottle of Tequila. Good thing I'm not driving.
Still not smoking. (And no one who is going smokes, so I'm in the clear there)
Office still not clean, but I can however see the floor and Meg's desk is clean, which is where I teach. First report card came out this week and the youngin' made straight A's. I don't know who is more pleased. Home schooling is a lot of work, but for us it is paying off.
Going to come a gullywasher tomorrow so the weatherman says. We'll see if his prediction is correct. I know it's cold as a witch's tit right now...
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello everyone, as promised here is a picture of Salem. He is a little shy and I couldn't get close enough while he was out in the pasture to get a better shot. I need a better camera. *sigh*
Had a great Halloween, and I hope everyone else did as well. We had fun. Meg's got this coffin cape and wore it with dental fangs. (Those things are a pain in the butt to get to stay in.)
Spent most of the day yesterday down at the barn. They are rebuilding the corral or riding ring. It got quite cold after a while. Finally found out what kind of horse Salem is. A Tennessee Walking Horse. Their gait is supposed to be easier on the rider.
Tuesday night they got me up on a horse. I tried to tell them that a forty year woman is not supposed to get up on horses, especially one who doesn't have a clue about riding. (I could break a hip for crips sake) but they didn't listen to me and up I went. Thank Gawd Mucho is a good horse. I kept telling him please don't kill me...LOL Mucho, being the good horse he is, listened thank the heavens.
What else? Oh, I'm getting ready to make Oatmeal cookies, anyone want one?
